Semrock sells its products through its direct sales force, an extensive network of distributors and resellers, and on-line catalogs. Semrock's products are built upon its own advanced optical coating and filter technology, originally developed for the telecom industry. Sophisticated high-bandwidth telecom applications drove the demand for exacting filters that exceeded the ability of the then-conventional coating technology.
